Happy Thanksgiving to you!
Seems on topic, maybe?

I had a grocery delivery yesterday, and I included a pumpkin pie. Only I didn't look carefully when I ordered it, and it turned out it was uncooked. I also wasn't careful when I opened it, and before cooking the filling was liquid. It went all over the place.
Ah, well, it's all in the trash. But I'm OK; I still have two eclairs left. So I'm going to eat one now.

What an indecisive comet. It should be a Harem series MC.

No love for the main heroine? (She's been called a battleaxe, but her character design is supposed to be the classic Japanese beauty as opposed to the usual anime ingenue.)

But it's the ice that holds it together, and almost certainly that's all gone now.
I read that it'll be a few days until they can look at it with the Hubble. When we can, we'll learn a whole lot more.

More nudity: Studio Fantasia edition
Seems like Studio Fantasia has fallen on hard times. Aika Zero is the last original production they did, and that was 2009. Since then they seem to spend all their time doing contract work. (They worked on Samurai Bride, which came out in April.) I guess it keeps the lights on and the bills paid, but it isn't creatively very rewarding. And I think they may be bleeding talent. The front page of the company's web site has a blog, and the last three entries are attempts to recruit in-betweeners.
They've given us so much love over the years (love meaning "fan service") and Aika Zero is loaded with it. If I had grabbed all the panty shots, this post would have been upwards of 100 images (if not 200). As it is, I'm sticking to nudity, so it's only 16. Featuring "Barbie Doll" anatomy, and a rubber duck.

Now that I think of it,
Kirameki Project had a bit of nudity. And
Najica Blitz Tactics also had just a bit. Not a lot in either case, though.

Needs more nudity!
Obviously we need more fan service around here. NSFW below the fold, from Strike Witches 2 and Asobi ni Iku Yo.

I'm actually having a hard time thinking of regular (i.e. non-hentai) shows that feature nudity. Here's my list so far:
Maken Ki
Shukufuku no Campanella
Ranma 1/2
Asobi ni Iku Yo
Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou
Strike Witches (1/2 but not the movie)
Vividred Operation
Hanaukyo Maid Tai La Verite
Maji de Watashi ni Koi Shinasai
I can't shake the feeling that there are more that I'm not thinking of. It isn't actually something I seek out (despite posts like this one).
Another thing that's interesting is that it doesn't have an inverse correlation with story-telling quality. AsoIku and Daimaou and Strike Witches are really good stories. Maji de Watashi and Maken Ki really stink.

Here are a few more:
Hen Zemi
Queen's Blade
Aika Zero
Aika R-16

I don't recall if they're as "detailed" as these screencaps, but Koihime Musou and Sengoku Otome have plenty of bath scenes. (And Hidamari Sketch has one per episode, but no details except on the rubber duck.) Pretty sure Kampfer has some.
Kanokon, {Bake,Nise, etc}monogatari, Sekirei (Funi's marketing tagline was "boobies for the win"), and Seikon no Milk Vampires, depending on where your hentai/not-hentai line is drawn.
Searching your own blog for "buy the DVD" or "buy the BD" would probably find a lot.

The rules are, "nudity" == "nipples", and yeah, Divergence Eve FTW. Also Sekirei.
Posted by: Steven Den Beste at November 21, 2013 12:23 PM (+rSRq)

Seikirei & Divergence Eve also both fall into the "not bad story" categories.
Also, I think everyone missed the King of this category: the To Love-Ru series. The first anime was toned down, but the rest sure weren't.

Would Popotan count as hentai, considering they changed almost everything from the game?
Mahromatic
APCG Nuku Nuku (at least I think there was).
There should be a fair amount of battle anime
Does Ikki Tousen fit?

Hagure Yuusha (reminded thanks to your header image in rotation)
Valkerie
I'm not sure if we are limiting series to what you have watched, but Freezing has a boatload of MCSA.

I just finished watching it and frankly, about the only thing it had going for me is that it didn't take place in a school. Okay, and I kinda liked Plutia's HD form and how she got away from the whole Saccharine goddess thing. I didn't get why the witch's name and the subtitle for her didn't match at all.
I totally didn't get Neptune's attachment to Peashy. (I know, I'm massacring the names right now). Hmmm, PC?
And I wasn't sure where Compa and IF fit into the scheme of things. Nobody else had assistants like that.
And frankly, I didn't quite see the appeal of that online world to the regular users.
Posted by: Mauser at November 07, 2013 04:43 AM (TJ7ih)

The Wikipedia page would help you, I think. There's a whole lot of industry in-joking going on.
Compa represents the company "Compile Heart", which developed the game.
IF is "Idea Factory", which owns Compile Heart.
As to the names, a lot of the Japanese originals are strange in English. So "Pururuto" became Plutia when the games were translated for the North American market. And when the anime was subtitled, the subbers stuck with the new names.
Re Arfoire:
Her English localization name is based off the R4, a Nintendo DS game card which allows the owner to play pirated games. In the Japanese version of the game her name is Magiquone (マジェコンヌ, Majekon'nu?), which refers to magicom (マジコン?, "magic computer"), a Japanese umbrella term for devices that enable piracy on game consoles.

Translated satire, puns & idioms normally lose a lot. I've gotten a solid number of jokes off non-native English speakers with "Keystone Cops" jokes.

I saw that before, apparently the explanation is something like a "Cascading high impedance failure". Basically the power lines shorted somewhere and turned into a giant Sideways Jacob's Ladder. The plasma from the arc allowed it to move, while the charring of the lines stopped it from conducting further down the line. Upstream equipment that should have shut it down failed.

Maken Ki -- OVA 2

Maken Ki continues to uphold its reputation for class and taste, setting consistently low standards for both. It's nearly as bad as High School DxD.
It begins with Haruka doing a voice-over: "We are currently on our summer training camp in Okinoshima."
Every time one of these kinds of islands shows up in anime I'm always curious whether they're real. So I hit Google Earth or Wikipedia to see.
Okinoshima is real. But... a really big but: The entire island is considered to be a Shinto shrine, one of the top three shrines in Japan. As a result, any man who visits must undergo a purification process -- and women are entirely forbidden to visit.
Also, there aren't any beaches, and there isn't any road around the perimeter. The permanent population is one man, a priest who cares for the shrine.
So the events of this episode are one big sacrilege. Simply having girls on this island is bad enough, but what they're shown doing there is even worse.
The star of our show is Takeko, which is Takeru turned into a girl. But there's no real point in trying to describe the story, such as it is. I presume you all understand that it's NSFW below the fold, right?

You reminded me that in Cinderella Girls there's a character, Miku, who
thinks she's a catgirl. Basically, she's gotten a mild case of furry. It's all in good laugh though.

Well, Milliana really is a catgirl. She's no fake. She's also a very powerful mage.

Fairy Tail, episode 167.
Posted by: Steven Den Beste at September 19, 2013 03:24 PM (+rSRq)
5
Milliana is introduced in a story arc that runs from eps 33-40, and shows up in cameos a few times after that. Eventually she joins an all-woman magic guild called "Mermaid Heel", which is involved in the story arc that runs from 155 through the end of the series. That story arc actually continues beyond; they stopped making the anime in the middle of that arc.

Eneus is a demon. Canon is that she's a Barghest, and that means she's a doggie. She even refers to herself as a doggie once.
But the tail they've drawn is a cat's tail. No dog has a tail like that. So I consider her a catgirl no matter what they say.

Eneus is from Macademi Wasshoi.
The Liese twins are from the Nanoha A's TV series. (They were cut from the story for the Nanoha A's movie.)
Xiao Mei is from Shining Hearts.
Lisanna is from Fairy Tail. She's a shape-changer and that's one of her transforms. (She's the younger sister of Elfman and Mirajane, who are also shapechangers.)

That makes Eneus the only supernatural entity (angel, demon, spirit, youkai, kami, whatever) in all these posts, yes? Everyone else is a human catgirled by magic, a human catgirled by technology, a cat anthropomorphized by magic, or a member of a naturally-occuring race of cat-people.

I could have included Himari, but didn't want to hunt for a suitable image of her. She's a demon. (from Omamori Himari)
