Maken Ki continues to uphold its reputation for class and taste, setting consistently low standards for both. It's nearly as bad as High School DxD.
It begins with Haruka doing a voice-over: "We are currently on our summer training camp in Okinoshima."
Every time one of these kinds of islands shows up in anime I'm always curious whether they're real. So I hit Google Earth or Wikipedia to see.
Okinoshima is real. But... a really big but: The entire island is considered to be a Shinto shrine, one of the top three shrines in Japan. As a result, any man who visits must undergo a purification process -- and women are entirely forbidden to visit.
Also, there aren't any beaches, and there isn't any road around the perimeter. The permanent population is one man, a priest who cares for the shrine.
So the events of this episode are one big sacrilege. Simply having girls on this island is bad enough, but what they're shown doing there is even worse.

Takeko decides to join the rest of the girls (!) in the bath.
After the girls all get drunk (I think) they all crash out in their underwear. And Haruka wakes up to this:
