Cleaning up after spammers
I think Pixy's job is like being the janitor in a building where the toilets are constantly overflowing and making a mess on the floor. It's a nasty job that never ends; no sooner do you clean up one mess than another one shows up. "Oh no, not again."
So, Pixy, be it known that we, your sometimes-loyal users, truly do appreciate the work you do trying to keep the system clean, despite the best efforts of those who would poop all over it.

More top rotation captures
I've been collecting grabs for another update to the top rotation. So far:
39 Arpeggio of Blue Steel
63 Strike the Blood
64 Chu-Bra
And that's without any underwear shots! Mizuno-sensei (the blonde) is probably the biggest source of cheesecake in Chu-Bra if you're trying to avoid underage girls, and I think she's probably in about half the grabs I took.
I've collected the images, but I haven't resized or trimmed them, so I can't do the update right now.
UPDATE: Mizuno-sensei is in the show for two particular reasons: first, so that men can watch the show without guilt (see, I'm watching for that teacher). Second, to be a love interest for Nayu's step-brother so that we know he isn't a lolicon.
UPDATE: And 40 grabs from Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance. That should be enough for now.

This is random, but I realized that the GnP character designs are really quite perfect for the content. They're not too "appealing" on the sexual aspect, but they're not supremely moe. Somehow the wider heads end up working really well for the story they are telling.
Which is still an insane story, but it's awesome.

It's a fantasy, and it doesn't make sense in lots of ways. One fundamental, undefendable rule is "No one ever gets hurt."
They play games with the cannons and ammo, for instance. Anko's gun was powerful enough to penetrate the rear armor of a Tiger and make a really nice, BIG hole, and yet they never penetrate the crew compartments of any tank. The tanks sometimes have accidents of various kinds where they roll, or run into things, and those ought by any rights to cause insane injuries to the crew, but they never do. One of the Anzio tank destroyers somersaults twice at the end of this battle, but everyone walks away. And the kind of things that were happening to the tankettes should have killed their crews even if it didn't set off a white flag, but it never did.
It's handled nicely; they sneak it in. The very first shot in the series that hits is in ep 2 when Anko (not called that then) hits the STuG, and it sets off a white flag -- but doesn't explode. It acts like the round was made of ceramic, and just shatters.
As the show goes forward, the rounds get more and more powerful. No one comments on it; it's just snuck in, until you get that shot into the rear of the Tiger in ep 12.
And I've never seen any fan complain about it, because they pull you in. The school ships, the whole concept, is so weird, and so wonderful, that the audience reaches the point where they'll forgive anything. It's masterful story telling.

There's another sub out now, by "loligeddon". It's better.
I think it's a better translation, and they translate things like signs and text on computer screens. It's also a larger file and I think the video might be slightly cleaner.
It's on Nyaatorrents and it was announced on TokyoTosho.

As always, be sure to force a full reload and/or clear your browser cache in order to get the new version.
Hot spots: Clicking the upper right corner opens a copy of the current image in a new browser window or tab (depending on your browser settings). The lower right corner causes a new image to load immediately. The lower left corner takes you to the main page here. Hovering over the upper left corner brings up a window with a bunch of info, most of which is for me when I'm debugging. Clicking it forces loading of a new image.

There sure are a lot of guns in this series!
Those must be peanut guns, because that girl is in grade school.
I wasn't getting a lot of material out of it, and then episode 8 turned out to be swimsuits.
So I ended up with about 50 candidates.
UPDATE: Won't be using anything from Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru. Honestly, I tried, but after an episode and a half I just couldn't force myself to watch it any more, even without sound and with the subtitles turned off and running at triple speed. It was just too painful.

Canonically it's all one and the same gun, which belongs to the "blue" girl. She is apt to let the "peach" to borrow it and leave it behind in her workplace (where her sub finds it). Don't ask how it works, it's not the real world. The one time we see the dream sequence of "yellow" girl, there's no question what it is. And the one time "green" girl poses in the top picture, she uses a prop.

Rize, the one with purple hair, was the main fan service prize in this show. I think she was in about half the grabs I ended up with.
She looks good in a swimsuit, too.

Whoever animated the sequence with the Barrett must not know just how much kick that gun has. She's shown firing off something like 5 shots in 3 seconds -- and no one fires it that fast! It takes time to reacquire the target after each shot!

She's also using it to -shoot trap-. From the sniper posture. ;p
There's one bit in the latest episode where a character says "and you
have to put away your model guns" or something to that effect. Which
would make more sense - if it's not a "real" gun, then loaning it out or
being careless with where you leave it is a little more understandable.
(Especially to a Japanese writer, who may not consider that "she has a
gun!" can lead to "and was shot by police"... though it ain't that kind
of show.)

I shot trap with SU-16CA. The success was difficult to find, but it's far from impossible. I also shot fireworks in the dark (using a custom illumination of open sights). Of course managing a .50 requires a Strike Witch's strength, so it's an anime license. Still, considering that Russian answer to .338 SMG is Kord on "lightweight" mount, with necessary body mass the sky is the limit. Rize establishes her brute strength cred in ep.1, if you recall, when she easily carries 4 bags of beans of which Cocoa can barely lift 1.

I just got 55 candidates from Seikoku no Dragonar. And I've downloaded 9 episodes of Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka and will go through that next.
