After some preliminary opinion gathering, Don is finally getting serious about doing his poll of "top babes in anime". He's got a preliminary list of 59 names, and he's going to do three preliminary rounds of about a score each. Top 7 from each of those three go into a final round.

Go vote. It would be a shame of the first 19 girls didn't even draw 19 votes total.

As for me, I did nominate Rushuna, but it seems I only get one vote so it's got to be Kan'u. That's all there is to it.

UPDATE: Ah, hell. I just noticed that it said I could have voted for three of them. Rats. I only voted for one, and now I've lost my chance. (Unless I use my other browser, which would be dishonest.)

Oh, the pain. Whatever demented soul at ADV came up with that one should be given an award. Or be strung up by his thumbs. Maybe both.

This is kind of eerie sounding. I think what happened is someone found the karaoke version of the Lucky Star OP and used Vocaloid to add the vocals to it, then merged it with the original OP video.

Whether Hatsune Miku is a better vocalist than Hirano Aya is left as an exercise to the reader.

ANN sent someone to see the premier of Dragonball: Evolution in Tokyo and they've now posted a review of it. And they think it utterly stunk.

Which, based on everything I heard about it until now, doesn't suprise me in the slightest. It's been an abortion from the very beginning.

UPDATE: While I'm doing a linky post, I may as well toss this one in, too, even though it has nothing to do with DB. Bob reports that Bandai has announced a license for Kurokami for R1, with release scheduled for June 16.

Considering that Kurokami is running now on Japanese television, that's one of the fastest R1 DVD releases ever.
