Feminist Programming Language
I suppose it had to happen: a raging feminist has decided that all existing programming languages are sexist. She proposes that a new language should be developed in line with feminist ideology.
God help us.

Per a discussion elsewhere, this is an example of Poe's Law. Someone proposed that language to mock feminists.

You're saying that the original article is a parody?
Problem is that there have been equally insane propositions like that from the pomo's in the past which really were serious. Like a proposal that physics was having trouble with fluid dynamics because it was inherently feminine and most physicists were men. Or an analysis of the game of Chess in Freudian terms. Or someone who objected to Relativity because it "privileged" the speed of light, and such privilege is unfair.

I see that Ace has posted some updates to that effect.
I love the "C Plus Equality" logo!

Sometimes I think that 4-chan and Something Awful are in a contest to see who can be the most subversive.

Ari's feminism is real, but once C+= appeared, the public embarrassement caused denials.

I read a couple of articles at her site. Generally, I'm pretty tolerant of people's religion, but two things get on my nerves. Blowing people up, and feeling morally superior about themselves. Sort of like the "Mac's better than Windows PC" folks, in the latter case.
Her friend nailed it.

Completist fetish
Proof that some anime fans have waaaay too much free time on their hands: I present to you the Anime Bath Scene Wiki.
Apparently it's being kept current; I see references there to shows which are being broadcast now. For instance, there's a screen shot from the most recent Stella Jogakuin C3-bu episode.

Being the duck that I am, I immediately headed to the "Accessories" category, looking for "rubber ducks." Of course, there's a whole listing of them. I scrolled through the listing, smiling at all the ducks that have appeared on The Pond.
And then, at the end, imagine my surprise to find my "Ducks In Anime" category listed as an external link. I feel so proud.

Do idols have ki power?
Every time I see
this picture it looks to me like they're rehearsing the Kamehamaha. The real question is whether they have enough ki to make it effective! (And whether there's anyone they really need to obliterate! Competing idols, maybe?)

Ah, I see you missed the glory of AKB0048 and the need for Idol Combat.

Well... if that's how they do it, then they're doing it wrong, you know...

The reason they're
practicing is because they were doing it wrong donchaknow...

In Kamehameha, thumbs are on the same side, palms are out. In the move Ritsuko included in the routine, lower hand is palm inside. So, they are quite different. But with A-1 studio animating, it takes a lot to even tell.

Now that you mention it, Pete, that's mostly how the kamehameha is done throughout Dragonball but I find very uncomfortable and unnatural; I rather prefer how Master Roshi executed it back when he fought Goku as Jackie Chun. (both open palms on the side, one palm facing backward and the other palm facing forward)

I liked the idea of Goku standing in for Punchy in a Hawaiian Punch commercial.

Man bites doggerel
Well, that's one way to do a post.
I like the pictures. (But does PhotoKano really have a scene of a guy grabbing a girl's boob? More reasons to stay away from it, I think.)

She asks him to touch her. Looks like Photokano is going the Amagami route. The main girls story was six episodes and looks like the rest of the girls will get one episode each.

Internet memes
Here's a collection of Internet memes. A fair number of them hail from 4-chan.
No Yotsuba? You're kidding; she's one of the unofficial mascots of 4-chan.

I recognize a large number of them. This makes me sad. Then I think of appropriate memes for this feeling, and become even sadder...
