UPS no longer lists an estimated delivery date on its shipment tracking page. I wonder why not?
My package (Poser Pro 2010) originated in Eagan, Minnesota (where?) last night and the tracking page says it just went through Des Moines, en route to Tualatin OR, our local UPS office.
I paid for 3-day shipping (i.e. surface) but they actually sent it by 2nd day (i.e. air). And I didn't pay for expedited processing, but it shipped within a few hours of when I ordered it. I guess business must be a bit slow for Newegg, just like for everyone else.
(Except for ammunition makers. I hear there's still a waiting list to buy small arms ammunition most places.)
Anyway, looks like today is the beginning of UPS's timeline, so it means I'll have it Monday.
UPDATE: Maybe I'll get it tomorrow after all. The tracking now shows it in Spokane, which means it should arrive in Portland by this evening.
UPDATE: Now it shows as being in Portland, so that means I'll be getting it tomorrow.
Good thing I did my grocery shopping today, so I won't have to go out tomorrow.

"Eagan, Minnesota (where?)"
Suburb south of Minneapolis/St Paul. Â I drive through it on my way to & from work. Â It was Northwest Airlines' HQ before they merged with Delta, so there is a lot of related stuff (UPS) there.

This may be temporary. There have been a LOT of weather disruptions lately and UPS is still doing logistical work-arounds in much of the country.

I just got informed that likely my software package was shipped from Navarre. Navarre is one of the largest software wholesalers in the country, and a lot of big retailers don't actually stock a lot of the software they sell by mailorder. Instead, when they take an order they tell Navarre to do the shipping.
And the reason it was shipped by 2nd day air is that for small packages it's cheaper than 3rd day ground.
It'll be interesting to look at the mailing labels on the package tomorrow to see if Navarre's name appears anywhere, or if they pretend to be NewEgg.
