I wish there were some way to back-trace this kind of thing:

But that's a Twitter shortcut URL. I wonder who linked to me, and what he said?

Whoever it was, it sure got followed a lot of times. It's dominating the traffic on my server right now.

UPDATE: Apparently, if you have a Twitter account you can search for a keyword. But I don't have, and don't want one. Could someone who does please search for "563xOvfhYc" and tell me where they found it?

Here you go:

You'll notice that the bit.ly url in the Tweet leads to the t.co address that leads to your post.

I figured it was probably someone being snide.

Thanks.

3 Now other things are being linked to from Twitter. I guess it's "kick Steve while he's down" day.

4 People of diversity and tolerance certainly have a lot of class.

5 Class, critical thinking, knowledge of law, understanding of history. The list goes on and on.

When you start noticing their level of projection, either you laugh, or your head explodes.

6 I've come to the conclusion that their obsession with the Koch's is because of their embarassment about their reliance on Soros.

At least you can take solace in the fact that you have become the bête noire du jour for the ever-tolerant, understanding, knowledgeable, and intelligent class of self-appointed rulers and busy-bodies.

You are definitely moving up in the world.  Have they tried to 'expose' your links to the Koch brothers?

8 Indeed. I've become iconic!

9 Twitter is....  Well, Twitter posts are limited to 140 characters.  There is the occasional gem of wisdom that can be expressed in 140 characters* but you can count on maybe one gem per million tweets.

* I had a couple of semi-gems yesterday.  One was "Science is the process of throwing stones at houses to see which are made of glass."  I've forgotten the other; maybe it will come back to me.

Yeah, Twitter doesn't really do much for me. I'm also not on Facebook, or really any other "social media".

Guess I'm just an old fogey.

11 What this country needs is some "Anti-Social Media".  You know, something like "Get outta my Facebook!"...

12 I have 2 Twitter accounts in order to split anime traffic away from all the professional things.

Frankly any open access media has its scum floating. But the legacy media suffers from the gatekeepers being the scum, so I learned to tolerate everything from Usenet to Myspace to Twitter.

13 The main thing I like about Twitter is that it's a good aggregator of some of the news sources I like, with links into the articles.  Also, It's a pretty well anonymized source of OpenID logins for a number of comment systems, like Disqus.

On the other hand, I have facebook blocked at the Hosts file level, just to make sure.

14 Heh. If you've got an hour to kill, Larry Correia (Hard Magic, Monster, Inc.) defenestrates Facebook liberals... then Tom Kratman gets involved.  Epic smackdown, dealt with in the usual liberal way... they deleted it.

I have 2 Twitter accounts in order to split anime traffic away from all the professional things.

If only it was always that easy - you see politics slipping into the anime industry over the last decade (At least, other than the ones the Japanese politics, which is given, if occasionally irritating.  America as the bad guys in an anime?  Yawn.).  The most prominent example was the anti-war, out of Iraq/Afghanistan album that a bunch of VAs and other production types put together a few years ago.  Pixy might remember it because her reaction to the interview with the founder of the singalong was classic.
