The Sacred Blacksmith -- the quest for fan service

I had abandoned The Sacred Blacksmith as a possible source of top-rotation images, based on a cursory perusal of the first episode. Cecily is a cute girl, but she wears armor the whole time, or so I thought, and though it is form-fitting that's still not really the same.

Pete assures me that there is reasonable fan service in the show. So I found and downloaded a raw rip of the BDs, and now I'm going through them. I just finished the second one.

And so far there hasn't been anything I could use in the top rotation. However, at the very end of the second episode they introduced a character who offers hope. (And cleavage.)

The blonde loli is a demon named Lisa, and she isn't it. The one in green is Aria, I conjecture. (Based on reading the Wikipedia page for the series.) Aria isn't quite what she seems to be from that picture. If she had horns on the sides of her head, she could be Falce's long lost sister, in fact.

Anyway, moving right along. At one point a demonic ice spider (I assume it was) manages to MCSA Cecily's breast plate.

At which point Luke gets a nosebleed, and then Cecily beats him up. And at which point I became sure that the whole thing is cliche from one end to the other. That particular sequence was completely gratuitous. And in the very next scene she's got it back again. Or maybe she had a spare with her, though it's not obvious where. (None of your business,Sam.)

But... if they're doing that, then it means this is a fan service show, and likely there will be less explicit fan service later. So while it likely isn't a show I'd really want to watch, it may be a reasonable show to scan through and raid for the top rotation. (I'd also wager good money on at least one bath scene featuring more than one girl, with better lighting, which of course I can't use.)

So I'll keep going for a while. But if I haven't started finding stuff in the third and fourth episodes, I'll probably decide I'm wasting my time.

UPDATE: Not to worry, apparently.

She kicks right in with the eye candy with the third episode.

UPDATE:

Based on the visuals, it would seem that Aria (yeah, that's her) has been assigned to Cecily.

UPDATE: By gum, they do both have other clothes.

UPDATE: OK, after four episodes, there's good stuff to be had here. Not a total waste of time.

Haven't seen the anime but the manga is emo-angsty grim and gritty sprinkled with fanservice

I've gotten through the first third of it, and I can see a lot of visuals which suggest that there's angst going on. But just looking at it (no subtitles, no sound) it ain't intolerable and there has been at least a bit of reasonable eye candy.

On the other hand, some of the battles really have been pretty grim, and they don't shy away from showing people getting killed, some of whom are good guys.

3 There's a crew that shows up about midway through.  I kinda like the dark skin/white hair types....

I was watching it CrunchyRoll, but I didn't finish since the whole thing wasn't available at the time.

4 It is never going to be available, if Furuba and Mahoraba are any guide. Overtook the manga.
