John McCain just sewed up the vital Otaku vote by picking a meganekko to be his VP candidate.
UPDATE: It's been impressive to watch the savage denunciations and dismissals from the Dems this morning. For instance.
It's been particularly impressive to watch liberalism, feminism, sensitivity go by the board when the woman they're talking about is Republican. They've been saying things like "But what if she gets pregnant while she's in office?"
In principle, she's the kind of woman that leftists should be cheering for. Except that she loves to hunt and fish, and opposes abortion, and she's Republican. And she's beautiful. And happily married, and has five kids. And her oldest son is in the military and is about to go to Iraq. The level of cognitive dissonance on display is amazing to behold.
UPDATE: She is legend! "We don’t know who would win in a Chuck Norris - Sarah Palin cage match because they’ve never invented a cage that can hold Sarah Palin."
UPDATE: A reader sends:
All the media coverage I've seen so far misses Palin's best Vice Presidential qualification: She's a better shot than Dick Cheney...
I'm sure it'll come out.
UPDATE: I've seen some photos, and it seems that the campaign motto is "Country First".
Which is extremely interesting. The contrast is to the Light Worker's "I am a citizen of the world" comments. McCain/Palin are saying, "We're not running for the Presidency and Vice Presidency of the world; we're running for the Presidency and Vice Presidency of this country." It's an appeal to nationalism, and I think that once the left notices it, they'll be apoplectic.
UPDATE: Jonathon V. Last says that Palin also has the Battle Star Galactica fan vote sewed up.
