I'm really eager to see the Strike Witches movie. Official release day for the BD is next Friday. I've got an order in with CDJapan, with two-day delivery by Fedex. (That's how I always have them ship.) In the past, they've always shipped two days before official release day so that I got it as early as possible, and I'm hoping that's what will happen this time.

If so, I'll get their shipping notice on Wednesday, and will have to make sure to get up early on Friday morning so that I don't sleep through Fedex's attempt at delivery. (With this particular shipping mode, they deliver before 10:30 AM.)

Because it's a theatrical release, I assume the animation will be better quality than the TV series were. I'm expecting good music, too. Everything will be higher budget, and I hope it shows.

I have no idea whether it'll be as ecchi as the series were. I wouldn't want to bet on that either way, in fact. That's not the reason I want to see it, I might mention. (And I'm quite serious about that.)

Based on spoilers and leaks from when it was in theaters in Japan, I have a vague idea already of the story it'll tell, including the fact that it has an ending that isn't really quite an ending. It pretty much leaves a lot of things hanging waiting for another movie, IIRC. But that's OK; it ends with an emotionally satisfying event which makes it worth watching anyway. It isn't a cliffhanger, based on what I know.

This is how I used to feel just before Christmas when I was a kid. "Is it Friday yet? Is it? Is it?" The clock sure is moving slowly...

UPDATE: I plan on posting frame grabs here, of course. I'm also going to collect grabs from it to add to the top rotation, now that updating it is pretty easy.
