Slashdotted, after all this time.

Not literally i.e. not really SlashDot. But someone posted one of my articles (from 2001!) onto "Hacker News" this evening and my server is getting a lot of traffic.

It's kind of a strange feeling. It's been a lot time.

1 Actually, didn't you literally get SlashDotted for one of your USS Clueless archived articles a few years back?

2 I did get hit by them once. I've been hit by Fark a few times. And there have been a handful of Instafloods.

4 A few years ago, just after I started Houblog, but I think you were still on USS Clueless, one of your first links to me was well down on the same page as whatever was being Instalanched. (Or maybe it was the Slashdot.  Too long, I don't remember the details).

Anyway, I got a few hundred visits that day, thanks to the long tail.  It's still my high day ever.  Then again, I think I'd be disturbed if it weren't.  Nothing I write is worth that much attention...
