Apologies

I'd like to apologize to everyone for the lack of quality posting around here, but... I just don't have anything worthwhile to say right now.

Since I gave up on Gargantia and Railgun, there are no shows I'm following. And the next season is going to be worse; there's nothing I'm even curious about.

So about all I can do is hunt for top rotation anims, which is pretty poor pickins. And that's why you've seen so many of them lately.

1 I'd seen your post that you weren't happy with where Gargantia had gone, and might stop watching it.  But I hadn't seen anything of that sort with Railgun.  When did you stop watching that one, and why?

It's just too grim. I didn't formally announce that I'd stopped watching it. I'm still downloading it, but I haven't watched the last three eps.

Part of the problem is that I saw a spoiler for later in the show, and it isn't anything I want to see.

3 I was going to ask you for help in making an animation for my Muv-Luv Alternative review of a girl's flight suit vacuuming to her body, to illustrate the meme.  But I imagine you're not THAT bored.

4 Steve, on Future Railgun events, need to check something.

The spoiler I saw referred to something that The Queen was going to do. If it happens, in the canon, it's hard to see how Mikoto resists the urge

The reason I think the horrible event I read about is coming is because there's a scene in the OP which seems to presage it.

6 Well, the producer said the Queen simply wasn't showing up again in the series, so I guess we'll just let you know?  Might be easier to pop back in around ep 18 or so, when we know what's going on with the next story arc.  For certain.

7 I'm reading the writeups on the episodes for both shows, mainly at SeaSlugs and RandomC. But that only takes a couple of minutes per episode, which is all I think they're worth at this point.

8 I'm quite happy with Yuyushiki. It's not a storytelling masterpiece, but it's all right. In fact, I'm following three shows in this season, a record not matched since 2008 (I'm cheating, however: one of them is a 3-minute format, another is a halver).

9 I'm watching three-and-a-half series right now.  The past three episodes of Railgun have been a little offputting, in that we've been reminded that Sparky's a teenage girl, not some incredible fighting machine.  Titan managed to blow all the goodwill it generated in the early episodes in the course of one.  OreImo 2 is perfect for the sort of mood I'm in these days: evil and grim.  PhotoKano is the "half-a-series."  I d/l it, I look at the episode quickly, then say "I'll watch it later," and never do.

So, perhaps not a good track record these days.

10 I do think it would be interesting if someone tried to blog one of the 3 minute series.   While Aiura is kind of fun this season, Haitai Nanafa would be the interesting one.  It's quite good though so short.

As for the season, umm... Would appear to be 12 series for me with a few I'm still collecting and will probably finish up later.  (If it's a series I'm pretty "meh" on but is popular, I tend to keep collecting it and then drop back in for the final arc.  You'd be amazed how little you miss.)

11 Jinx blogs AIURA, but he's not terribly detailed. Just "thighs thighs thigs". Kuro is mostly the same.

12 Watching Gargantia, Railgun Henneko.  But with Gargantia, at the end of the episode after "the big discovery", they add a twist I definitely didn't expect.

Also took another swing-and-a-miss at Majestic Prince, and caught up with My Teen Romantic Comedy.

13 It's been a good season for catching up on old things you downloaded but never watched.

14 Like Wonderduck alluded to, the last 3 episodes of Railgun consisted of a Mikoto fight, and while it was well animated, both Mikoto and her opponents made a number of somewhat implausible strategic errors.  At least the whole affair had a nice pace to it.

Wonderduck, which Titan episode blew it for you?  I've kept up with it and like the direction the series went, especially since Armin finally is developing into something useful.

15 Wahsatchmo, this is not the place for that discussion.
