1 Well, it's not an African ladder, then.
African ladders are non-migratory.

In case you're wondering what it was doing out there:

One reason I like this apartment complex is that the owner is willing to spend money to keep it nice. Last year they tore out one of the sidewalks and poured new concrete because the old one was getting worn and cracked. And they repaved part of the parking lot two years ago. Three years ago they replaced everyone's front doors because the old ones were getting gross.

Also, every couple three years they bring in a crew that sprays down all the buildings with high pressure hot soapy water, to wash off accumulated grime, moss, bird droppings and anything else unsightly. Today was the second time they've done it since I moved in.

The ladder belonged to them.

5 There was a big stink about the white polar bear cans.  People complained that they thought it was Diet Coke.  The red ones are the replacement.
