Swimsuit episode. After several episodes at the tournament we're running behind on the fan service. Hisa apparently knows this because she orders everyone to bring swimsuits.

Nodoka asks, "And what is the point exactly?" Hisa says, "Point? umm... Would this reason do? 'Because I want to see you in a swimsuit, Nodoka' for example?" Nodoka responds, "It wouldn't do at all!"

Hisa comes up with some other plausible reason, but her first was the real answer, of course.

You know? Mako and Hisa don't have anything to be ashamed of. They're not built like Nodoka (who is?) but they both look just fine.

Yuuki sure is scrawny, though.

Turns out that Saki doesn't know how to swim and is just a bit afraid of the water. (And it's also an excuse for more yuri teasing.)

Apparently this doesn't count as a "panty shot" as far as the TV station is concerned.

There was also some character development in this. The other three teams who were in the final are all coming to terms with their loss and preparing themselves mentally for the individual tournament. And we also do, finally, get a look at Saki's older sister Teru, who is third year.

And who seems to be a real bitch. The biggest reveal is that she plays first position on her team, so if her team meets Kiyosumi in the finals, she won't play against Saki.

I assume that the series will eventually redeem Teru in the eyes of the audience. They did that with Ryuumonbuchi, who at the beginning seemed to be arrogant and sadistic. Eventually it was revealed that they are all playing mainly because they care about Koromo and are trying to make her happy through the game. That's Touka's motivation, in particular. So when, in this episode, Teru is shown saying that she doesn't have a sister, then presumably it's going to turn out to mean something else before it's all over.

But still, our first impression of her is distinctly negative.
