Region 1

Remember the bargain collection of DVDs that Obama gave to British PM Gordon Brown when he came on a state visit?

Turns out they were coded for Region 1. Brown tried to watch one and his DVD player refused to do it.

So they were probably also NTSC, so were probably unplayable anyway even if Brown had owned an regionless player.

Simply amazing. Our new president and his team (not yet fully staffed) have been setting records for bumbling and stupidity.

And it's gotten to the point where even the MSM can't ignore it any longer. I had expected the press honeymoon to extend for months, even years, but the mistakes have been so widespread, and so large and important, that even the members of the press who swooned in the presence of The One last year are finding it impossible to overlook. But that's just about the only thing that's good about it.

Quite frankly, I'd rather be grinding my teeth in annoyance at his success in implementing policies with which I disagree, than to be flabbergasted by the sheer ineptitude he has been demonstrating.
