Randy Andy

Back in the day, Andrew Sullivan was respected on my side of the fence. I never really knew if he was nominally considered "conservative" or "liberal" and never really cared. But I read his blog and sometimes I linked to him, and he read my blog and once or twice he linked approvingly to me. That's because both of us supported fighting the war.

Or did. He doesn't, anymore. Now he's gone completely off the deep end. Apparently his latest obsession is the parentage of Sarah Palin's baby boy Trig. Andrew doesn't think it's really Sarah's, and he's been demanding proof. (Why, precisely, it's anyone's business isn't obvious.)

And he's doing this as the highest profile blogger working for The Atlantic magazine, bringing in lots of traffic (because he has a direct link from Drudge) but seriously soiling the brand. It's embarrassing to watch, really.

comments disabledTonight I'm getting a bit of a flood from here linking to an old post of mine which peripherally included Andrew. (It isn't anything that represents a hazard to my server.) It's been a long time since I've gotten a link flood from anywhere linking to something other than an "alternative energy" post.

The Four Horsemen of the Ablogalypse, eh? Man, that was a long time ago. I feel old.
