Pete didn't like Magical Witch Punie-chan.
Which is a pity, but, well, humor is hit-or-miss. There's no comedy that is universally thought to be funny (though Monty Python and the Holy Grail comes damned close).
A lot of people (including Pete) thought the comedy in Gurren Lagann was overwhelmingly funny, but it mostly didn't work for me. Same deal.
UPDATE: Even funnier than Holy Grail is the movie Support your local sheriff. It was pretty much written for James Garner, who is outstanding in it. And the scenes between Garner and Bruce Dern (who is also outstanding) are pure gold.
