With help from a friendly question answerer at Metafilter, here's an animated 3D SWF, below the fold. (It's two megabytes so you have to wait for it to load.)

 There are some rendering glitches having to do with shadows. I know how to fix that, but this was the result of the fourth time I'd done the full render and I was getting tired of mucking with it. It's just a demonstration of concept anyway.

It still isn't possible to make Poser get completely off the screen while it's doing a long render. Some of it will go away, and the renderer doesn't seize focus on each successive frame any longer (which really was a pain) but there's no way to make the render progress popup or the actual render screen minimize.

Come on, guys! Fix it!
