Phear the Squirrels

Iran has arrested 14 squirrels on charges that they were committing espionage.

Of course, everyone knows squirrels can't do that. Ducks, on the other hand...

UPDATE: Am I the only one old enough to remember Secret Squirrel?

Stupid squirrels.

2 I suspect the real story behind this is that these squirrels were looking for nuts to store for winter and ran off with those of several ayatollah's.  In the defense of the squirrels, it should be noted that the nuts in question were almost certainly small, hard, and wrinkled.  And probably unused.

Yes, I went there.  It seemed appropriate.

4 Dave Barry has been warning of terrorist squirrels for years.

Darn things keep launching suicide missions against our transformers, power substations, etc.

Ever.  We're just too good.  In fact, our 'spies' are merely rumors planted by our minions.  Some minions know that they serve our pleasure, some still believe they have control over their actions... but don't.

Isn't that right, Steven?

7 I'm not falling for that!

8 The Iranians may have caught Secret Squirrel, but Morocco Mole is still at large.  He's probably gone underground 'til things blow over.

The claim of free will... our psy-op ducks are really good.

Pixy, since you're a member of the Order of the Honorary Duck, I'll let that one go.

Don't make me send Duckzilla 'round your place, though... he's been spotted in your locale, after all.

12 I'm ducking this entire argument.
