Case in point. (Hollow point.)

1 Doh... That reminds me. I'm out of hollow points for my 1911. Ammo or groceries. A man shouldn't be forced to make these kinds of decisions.

Silvertips are fine rounds, but I prefer Hydroshocks. I usually load a combination of Hydro's and FMJ's in my 220 Elite (3 x 4).

I've always felt that CC'ing a .45 frame, even a compact, during the summer is a difficult propsition. I'd like to know where Chris is actually putting that when he's walking around in a T-Shirt and shorts... -_^

3 Don't conceal it?  Or do CC laws *require* concealment?

( its stupid, but it also sounds like exactly the stupid that makes its way into laws all the time. . . )

With the right inside-the-belt holster(strong-side), my full-size 1911 basically disappears when I'm just standing there, and I'm a skinny guy. But if I have to bend over to tie my shoes, you can see that I'm carrying from space.

CC is very different from state to state. Arizona's open carry, but the state government was recently thinking of mucking about with what qualifies as open vs. concealed. IIRC, they were actually relaxing the restrictions on what is reqired to be open. The amount of weapon required to be visible and qualify as open carry was going to become vanishingly small. Basically (again, IIRC), if an inch of what is obviously a dangerous/deadly weapon is showing, it was considered open. The value of a CCW became that extra inch. I need to go back and check on the progress of that one.

5 Oklahoma was a state where open carry was legal, but CCW was not.

When a CCW law was being held up by some GFWs ( Gun Fearing Wussies ) in that state's legislature, supporters started open carrying around the state capitol ... and some Republican legislators started to OC as well.

The CCW law passed rather quickly at that point, with one Democrat actually saying "OK, OK, we get it. Please stop open carrying now."

6 Hey, guys, this is an anime blog, not a gun blog.
