Introducing Asteon AKA "Teo". This is the magical device that Hayate, Agito, and Rein made for Einhart. It's in the form of a snow leopard kitten, because the original hegemon kept snow leopards as pets.

In this episode we train and prepare for the beginning of the tournament! Yay, team!

But first, Vivio goes to the church for another visit to Ixy, and runs into Sister Chantez. These two characters are voiced by two of my favorite seiyuu. Vivio's seiyuu also did Wind Fairy Pepper, and Chantez's seiyuu was Yukikaze Panettone. Chantez and Vivio greet and immediately agree to do some sparring.

Unfortunately, they get caught at it, and Chantez is in trouble.

Rather kinky punishment for a church, if you ask me.

Nove has lined up individual trainers for each of the four girls. Einhart spends her time sparring with this girl, who herself is going to be in the tournament.

And she gets two of her sisters to work with Corona and Rio. Nove herself works with Vivio, and sometimes with all of them.

Team Nakajima, fight!

The day finally comes. Nove takes Vivio to the tournament, for her first qualifying round.

"Don't be nervous, now!" But I think Nove is more nervous than Vivio.

Vivio's opponent's first reaction was "What a cute little kid!" but that soon changes. Vivio finishes her off in 45 seconds. It would have been even easier if she'd been using Chris, but magical devices aren't permitted in the quals. (Which makes me wonder how Corona will do. Can she summon a golem without her magical device? How well can she fight without one, if it comes to that?)
