Mirai no Anime

The Mouretsu Pirates movie will come out February 2014. (There's a bigger version of the poster here. Someone needs to teach Chiaki to keep her finger off the trigger. Gruier is doing it right.)

The next Saki series will air Spring 2014. Frankly, I'm not sure I give a damn.

1 To my eye, all three of them look slightly older than in the series.  Which would make sense, if the events of the movie take place the following school year.  I wonder if the other students still fear the yacht club...

I agree that they look more mature, but I think that's probably artistic license. I doubt it has any other significance.

Marika and Chiaki are both 17 at the end of the series and they should be fully grown. Gruier certainly has some more growing to do, so having her be taller makes sense.

3 Am I imagining it? Because it seems Marika's anatomy is quite deformed.

4 They look taller because their heads are being drawn proportionally slightly smaller than we're used to.
