Do idols have ki power?

Every time I see this picture it looks to me like they're rehearsing the Kamehamaha. The real question is whether they have enough ki to make it effective! (And whether there's anyone they really need to obliterate! Competing idols, maybe?)

1 Ah, I see you missed the glory of AKB0048 and the need for Idol Combat.

2 Well... if that's how they do it, then they're doing it wrong, you know...

3 The reason they're practicing is because they were doing it wrong donchaknow...

4 In Kamehameha, thumbs are on the same side, palms are out. In the move Ritsuko included in the routine, lower hand is palm inside. So, they are quite different. But with A-1 studio animating, it takes a lot to even tell.

5 Now that you mention it, Pete, that's mostly how the kamehameha is done throughout Dragonball but I find very uncomfortable and unnatural; I rather prefer how Master Roshi executed it back when he fought Goku as Jackie Chun. (both open palms on the side, one palm facing backward and the other palm facing forward)

6 I liked the idea of Goku standing in for Punchy in a Hawaiian Punch commercial.
