Microsoft *had* a good policy coming out of the gate, with heavy emphasis on JRPGs. It didn't sell millions, but it formed a good solid niche. Sadly, Sony broke it with their rather bastardly policy on platform ports.

I heard that half of all 360 purchases was driven by Idolmaster. Of course it petered off now. And Sony announced Idolmaster 2 for PSP. That is going to hurt.
