Just a small note

The reason that SubDesu and Ayako had the same translation of that line is that both of them stole the translation from CrunchyRoll. So their agreement doesn't prove that they're right. It only proves that they stole from the same source.

TZM did their own translation, and seem to have come up with a subtly different answer. But that doesn't mean they're wrong.

UPDATE: I've just been informed that I was wrong about those two circles stealing their translation from Crunchyroll.

I've also been informed that the real translation of that line is, "There's a rule in space: when you're dealing with dogs, you're involved in smuggling."

(And now to post this on Don's site.)

1 So, idiomatically along the lines of "lay down with dogs, wake up with fleas".

2 "You accepted the loan in loose $100 bills, from a man in an expensive pinstriped suit, with a pronounced Italian accent, while sitting in an Italian restaurant, and it never occurred to you that you were borrowing money from the mob?"
