Ikki Cheesecake

Below the fold, of course.

The top part of this might work for the top rotation, except that the leg in the foreground wouldn't make any visual sense. So I can't use it. But I think I can use all of these:

But this one, there's no way.

Pity; it really is a nice image.

1 Out of idle curiosity, do you know where the term "cheesecake" originated?  Copious googling comes up with some rather dubious explanations involving pastries in shop windows.

2 Don't got a clue.

3 Best reference I could find. There's a nineteen-year gap between the alleged origin and the first print use anyone can find, which probably means there's no definitive answer. I'll ask Steve Sullivan the next time I see him; he's spent a lot of time with old glamour and pin-up mags, so he might have something in his archives.

4 Every time I look at pictures of her, I go "Yum! I need to watch this!"  Then I remember what a dumb ho she is and end up cursing for several minutes.

Hakufu is a classic example of a character type I call a "fighting fool", someone who lives for combat, and doesn't really care about anything else.

Goku is one, too. The only times he's happy are when he's fighting, or when he's training for a fight. Which is pretty much all the time, because that's pretty much all he does.

I've thought of adding it to the Tropes list, except that there's probably already something like it in there under another name, and I don't feel like spending a couple of days reading all the character-trope entries to make sure. Nor would it help to look at the Ikki Tousen or DBZ pages; they don't cross-reference everything.

6 The artwork gets SO much better in the other two series... the plot too.

7 Steven, the most appropriate entry would probably be 'Blood Knight', although both also have elements of 'Idiot Hero'.
