1 OK, let's see... According to the article:
- The Australian black-tip likes warm tropical water.
- The hybrid has been found further south in cooler water
- Therefore: The Australian black-tip is adapting to survive in water temperature changes that are being caused by global warming.

WAIT.... WHAT?!?

By the logic of the article, global warming will mean cooler ocean temperatures...

Also, wouldn't a species adapting to the global warming hoax be trying to adapt to the other direction?  (i.e. cool water to warm)

2 But if it's a hybrid, shouldn't it had started running on gas after its battery ran out?

3 But how did it get to Australia to mate with the local shark population in the first place? Spring break bender? Ryoga-level sense of direction? Epic jump? Frickin' laser beams?

4 Awesome snark.

5 And cost half again as much as a regular model?  Seriously, I was car-shopping recently, and the cost differential between the normal and the hybrid version of the same car was over 40% -- and this is for a low-end vehicle.  It's for DINKs -- not the middle class, with kids and responsibilities

Ridiculous.  Not enough people are going to listen to the mass-media's relentless propaganda to save the auto industry from that sort of stupidity..

6 I recall reading someone doing the math, and pointing out that for the cost of a Chevy Volt (Not even operating it) you could buy an Aveo, and enough gas at $4 a gallon to run it for over 100,000 miles.

Some gamers talk about Combustable Lemons, a meme from Portal 2, but they exist in the real world - The Chevy Volt.
