Goshuushou-sama Ninomiya-kun -- ED

I had a request to post grabs from the ED, given that what I downloaded was the uncensored DVD version of the series. I fear that you'll be disappointed; it ain't all that racy. Since I haven't seen the broadcast version I have no idea how much difference there may be.

Also, the guys who created the fansub hard-subbed the ED so that they could do karaoke mode. Sheesh. Anyway, marginally NSFW grabs below the fold.

1 I checked vs. the original fansubs that I downloaded when it broadcast.  That's the same ED, no changes at all.  In fact, the subs are exactly the same, meaning this had to be done by m.3.3.w., who did the broadcast version.  My downloads are all .avi's, so I can't tell if only the ED was hardsubbed.

I'm kind of wondering if this really is the DVD version.  Have you seen any shots that just wouldn't have been in a broadcast version?  I suppose there's no rule that they have to make the DVD's racier though...

I have no idea just what "uncensored" might have meant in this case. In the first ep there were only two things which might conceivably have been censored: a view of Mayu's panties with a distinct cameltoe, and a picture of Mayu's boobs in that white dress after she got doused, which showed vague outline of nipples.

By the standards of shows like Strike Witches or Ikki Tousen, they were both pretty tame.

3 Looks like they just decided not to even set up to do the whole uncensoring thing.  It's certainly all the rage, heaven knows, but sadly, it seems it's not required.  Yet.

And, yeah, gotta have that dancing flashing twirling karaoke text all over the OP/ED on every episode.  I mean, everybody loves it, right?  Every otaku is singing along on every episode, helped enormously by visually following changes to the color, movement, or texture (or all three simultaneously) of the romaji lyrics!  It must be true!

Karaoke subs...annoy me.

And I just don't get the point.  If your knowledge of the song is so poor that you need to be rhythmically stepped through the lyrics phoneme by phoneme, I don't see much chance of you hitting any of the notes right.  That sort of "click track" is much harder to use than a guide vocal, anyway.

4 You think you get annoyed by them...

The point, I believe, is that it's one of the few areas that someone with absolutely nothing constructive to contribute to a project can do something. "Yeah, typeset the song, lol!"

5 Well, if nothing else, it helps me parse the word boundaries as I listen to the song.
