I want

Tim Burton is doing a movie based on "Alice in Wonderland". It's due in March of 2010, and that may be the first movie since The Matrix that I go see in a theater.

Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. Alan Rickman as the Caterpillar. And Christopher Lee is in it. But who cares about the cast; Tim Burton visuals on Lewis Carroll? True awesomeness.

1 Tim Burton is great on the visuals, and the cast sounds good. I'm not going to invest too much anticipation in it though because sometimes he is not up to snuff on story lines.(He's been called the best second unit director in Hollywood, ouch!) It should be hard to mess up the story line in Alice in Wonderland though.

2 I think he'll do a good job on it. It sounds like the sort of thing he was born to direct. In fact, the weirdness might become so severe it might cause the very fabric of spacetime to collapse, dooming us all.

Here's a movie I'd love to see Tim Burton do a remake of.

It is strange, strange... (If you haven't seen it, it's well worth a viewing if you can find it.)

Well, Tim Burton did actually say in at least one interview that he 'wouldn't know a good script if it hit him in the face'.

His visuals have always been impressive but he is the type of person who needs to stay out of the big chair because it is the other parts of the movie production that he lacks.
