Today's search term

Just got a hit from "ask.com" looking for:

Well, there's always Kaede from Shuffle...

1 G-rated affection?  Misha from Pita-Ten.  Her personality, in one word, is "glomp".

Not-so-G-rated?  The lead molester from Kanokon.

As an opposite to Kaede, Nanoha?  It starts out pretty rough, in a starlight-breaker way, but ends up okay...

2 Yuno from Mirrai Nikki?

I jest....

Mikeski, I don't know if befriending really should count as affection.

On the other hand, Vivio was the target of Nanoha's most devastating befriending (5 simultaneous Starlight Breakers), and Nanoha adopted Vivio afterwards, so maybe you're right.

4 One of the freakiest unexpected moments in anime was when the other Rin opened the lid to the  pot Kaede had been stirring and it was empty.

5 I potentially really really like Shuffle.  I own it on DVD thinpack, plus the usual digital copy as well, plus The Librarian pretty much gave me the first DVD back when you'd get three episodes per disc.

But I've never seen past Ep03, and it's taken me five or six years to get that far.  Whenever I start it (again), I'll watch the first two or three eps, then something will happen that'll distract me from it... and then time passes, and I'll be like "oh, hey...".  Then it'll loop all over again.

I think I got about five episodes in and then gave up. The girls are all stereotypes, and I found I didn't care about any of them as characters and didn't care about the story. It's the worst kind of harem show, in that the harem is the only story being told.

It also seemed a bit strange that the daughter of Hell was a yamato nadeshiko (until she got mad, and then she vaporized a city block) and the daughter of heaven was a tsundere. The whole thing just seemed like a waste of time.

7 Pita-Ten does the same thing.  Dojikko angel, yamato-nadeshiko demon.  At least Pita-Ten's demon has a snarky black cat familiar to point it out all the time.

And it's not a harem, just a big love dodecahedron.  All unrequited, thankfully, since the human characters are in grade school.
