The Sacred Blacksmith -- abandoned

Did I call it?

I've finished 7 episodes now and only come up with about 20 candidates for the top rotation, and some of those are iffy. It just isn't very fruitful. And I'm not really interested in the story, either.

I downloaded a version with subtitles and have watched eps 4-7 with the subtitles turned on. Aria is an interesting character but I'm not particularly interested in anyone else. It would be nice to see Lisa get a happy ending, and someone needs to wallop Luke upside the head with a clue bat. Charlotte is a ball of angst. Her three servants are idiots.

And given that Cecily is the lead, it's a bit surprising how uninteresting she is.

I read some spoilers for the series and I don't have a really great urge to watch the rest of it. Aria alone isn't enough to keep me coming back.

UPDATE: By the way, the "Cecily gets beat and then Luke saves her pretty butt, and is ungracious about it afterwards" schtick is getting old.

I think I might skip ahead and watch the last episode, just for a bit of closure. Or maybe I won't even bother.

1 I lasted just over one episode.  Obviously, by episode three, the staff went "OMG!  This sucks and we're gonna get creamed -- break out the fanservice!"

*Cough*  No doubt.

3 They actually ditch those four characters and get back to the point in another episode or two.  I was surprised to see an anime REDUCE the cast size partway through without killing them.

4 They just copy what mangaka did.
