"Kuusen Madoushi Kouhosei no Kyoukan" is how the torrents have it, at least for now. Man, this was awful.
It's a promising beginning. Well, I can't go that far. It's far from the worst foundation for a story I've ever seen. Earth has been invaded by "demon beetles" who in fact look like machines, and they dominate the surface. The surviving humans are living in floating cities, including Mystogan, a school for wizards who fight the demon beetles.
Our hero is Kanata Age (AKA "Marty Stu") who was part of an elite combat team, and for some reason (presumably to be explained later) he has become known as "The Traitor". He gets summoned to the administration and promoted to teacher and put in charge of Fire Team E601, F-ranked, and known as the worst fireteam in the school. His job is to turn them around.
Here's most of the harem Fireteam E601. They're a strange lot. The brunette is Rico, who believes she is the reincarnation of a goddess and is in love with her own reflection in the mirror. Because she's a goddess she doesn't think she needs to study or practice. The blonde is Lecty. She's a klutz. She's also pretty good-hearted and wants to do a good job; she is the only one who doesn't have an attitude problem. The redhead is Misora, who is the leader of the team. So far in her time at the school she's participated in 124 practice battles and lost every one of them. The fireteam as a whole has had 10 practice battles and lost them all.
So in desperation, the school administrator has summoned Marty to become a teacher assigned to them to try to straighten them out. As he leisurely walks across the campus to the administration office he has a meet-cute with each of the three which convinces each in turn that he's a pervert.
Right out of the book of cliches.
Oh, by the way, let's take a look at the girl's dressing room while we're at it, shall we?
So Marty walks into classroom E601 and introduces himself as the new teacher. All the girls shout "IT'S THE PERVERT!" and activate their weapons. And that's the end of the episode.
Under the science fiction wrapping, this is nothing more than a high school harem show of the worst, least inspired kind. Truly a waste of time. And in our next episode?
Cheesecake. (Sheesh.)
UPDATE: And the rest of the harem? Prominently featured is Yuri, childhood friend and tsundere. You gotta have one, right? It's on the first page of the book of cliches.
And Chloe, the one who picked Marty for this job. She may be the only character in this show who is well adjusted. She also seems to be the only person in the entire school who doesn't fear Marty or his reputation as "The Traitor". But that's because she was there at the event where Marty got that reputation, and she knows the truth.
