Upotte -- I think too much

While I'm doing Engineer's Disease posts, I had a thought about Upotte the other night. Spoilers below the fold.

It's not just the students at that school who are guns. Teachers are, too. One of the grade school teachers we met, and her name was Thompson. The kids in the grade school were all submachine guns, firing small rounds, and it stands to reason they'd be taught by a submachine gun, doesn't it?

So here's what I'm wondering: is our unnamed high school teacher, the one that FNC shot up twice, himself a gun? I bet he is.

And I bet his name is "M2 Browning".

1 Isn't he the Japanese teacher, though?

5 Garland isn't a mispronunciation of Garand?

6 Japanese spelling is "ガーランド", so it's pretty obviously "Garand". Nonetheless, there's no official link to the particular gun. Same for Mr. Springfield.
