1 Nah, I'm good.  And Abbot's full of it.  This wasn't a patch on Allison.  Something like a quarter of the city went underwater back then -- $5 billion in damages and it wasn't even a hurricane.  Technically, it wasn't even a tropical depression anymore. 
But when 36" of rain get dumped on your town, nobody gives a damn what it's called, and the name "Allison" got retired without ever having made hurricane status.
Yesterday?  11"   Barely hit ten-year flood levels on my side of town (we got 6"), maybe 100-year on the west side.

2 Which isn't to minimize the loss of those who perished or lost loved ones; I'm just annoyed that a government official has joined the media hype, presumably in order to latch on to more federal funds.
