3 I think C.C. of Geass really has put the product placement on the map. For some reason studios had difficult time lining up agreements before Geass. Once the Pizza Hut thing happened, all the oddly mis-spelled names suddenly corrected themselves.

The current champion of product placement has to be Bakuon!!

The manga is like that, too, and it makes me wonder if the mangaka is actually getting payola for it, or if it's just motorcycle porn for the readers. I don't remember a single instance of Bland-Name Products.

6 OK...Sonico is *herself* an advertising mascot, ergo any image of Sonico *is* product placement for Nitroplus...


So you have a product placement positioning property promiscuously for the purpose of profit and probably receiving payola.
