Saki -- picture dramas

It turns out that the Saki DVDs had "picture dramas" on them. I just downloaded them, and one of them had a couple of really nice pictures of Nodoka, which I'm putting below the fold. They are pretty much SFW, but they're also pretty big.

Nodoka seems to look miserable most of the time. I wonder if she's already having problems with back pain.

1 That certainly would explain why hugging Pengi was so effective at improving Nodoka's live Mahjongg play: literal support.

He is named "Etopen", and yeah, he serves as support, physically and psychologically.

5 Etopen!  That's right, I knew there was some cute name for it, but I haven't seen Saki in a while.  I'm glad there's a second season coming; I'd like to see the confrontation between Saki and her sister at nationals.

6 What's this about a second season? There's obviously more story to tell, and the manga is ongoing, but I hadn't heard of anyone planning to do more of the anime.
