BakaBT -- the transition

Once I got the new HD into my torrent machine, the next project was to greatly increase the number of files I seeded in the BakaBT system. It used to be about 23. There were quite a few I had seeded but took down in order to make room for other stuff, and I copied a bunch of those back over. And there were a bunch of new ones I wanted to get, so I queued up a swarm of new stuff to download.

Various reasons for doing so. Some of them because they were not well seeded and potentially could be additional sources of bonus points. Some of them because they were listed on BakaBT with the pantsu keyword, or boing or ecchi or uncensored. Some of them because they sounded interesting for other reasons. Fact is, I mostly don't remember the reasons why just from looking at the titles, though if I were to look into them further I would probably remember.

But I'm not going to. I think I'm going to embark on a series of "first episode review" posts from my now-voluminous archive of fansubs, picking out the ones whose names mean nothing to me. I may do the first of them later this evening, but maybe not. I've got a whole lot of stuff to copy back off the torrent machine now to archive on external USB drives, and at the rate it's going it may take until midnight to finish that up. (Man, 100 megabit ethernet really crawls, you know?)

Anyway, the current score on BakaBT is 62 seeds. There's one more which hasn't finished downloading. All that downloading knocked my exchange ratio down from about 5.05 to about 3.8 and I'm not back above 4, into W00T territory, yet. Meanwhile, my bonus-point count is now sky-rocketing, and I'm up to #233 on the top 250 list, and still climbing.

UPDATE: Copying is all done, but I just don't feel like doing any writing tonight. Sorry, it'll be tomorrow.
