Aika R-16 -- scan through

Actually watch Aika R-16? You must be joking. I value my sanity. So I ripped the thing and just scanned through it.

Ye Gods. This is well over the line of ecchi and ventures damned close to hentai a few times.

And now that I have an idea of the general plot outline, I find myself tempted to watch it, and really listen to it.

It has a surprisingly good cast. The seiyuu who did Aika is quite experience considering that she's only 22. Most of what she's done I haven't seen, but she was Megumi in Ramen Fighter Miki, and that is a good credit.

Meanwhile, the visuals? I took a bunch of frame grabs. I'm not going to post most of them, at least now, but I've tossed a few in below the fold.

They are spoilers and they are NSFW.

Chibis! (wearing chibi panties!)

Sickbay, results of Aika's fight in ep 1. The girls have little things attached to their backs which put them under hostile control. Of course, we have to take off every stitch in order to determine that. This is Studio Fantasia, after all.

Sickbay again, results of Aika's fight in ep 2. This lot aren't controlled; they're employees of the bad guy. For all the good it did him. Aika fights like an angry buzz-saw, you know? Pretty damned good for a 16 year old.

Just before Aika's fight in ep 3. (Are you noticing a pattern here?)

Dear George Lucas: if I have to watch a battle involving clones, I would like them to look like this, please, not like Boba Fett. Also, please dress them like this, not in stupid plastic armor.

Caption 1: Aika does fight like an angry buzz-saw, but I think this one is too big for her.

Caption 2: Sob! There's no there there!

Caption 3: I always wondered where the giant joshikousei in Colorful came from.

1 Not safe for work?  I'll take my cha...YOWZA!

It's just as well, I've been on a book buying spree.  Keep this in mind though <<_<<.

Happy Independence Day!

That wouldn't be very fair for the other side.
