UPDATE: Tina's habit of fondling the tits of every new girl she meets within the first few minutes of meeting her is probably going to get really old, really fast. Apparently the way we know that Tina is an American is because she's rude, crass, energetic, loud, and full of zest for life. She is, of course, an exaggeration and a stereotype but I can see how the Japanese would view Americans like that.
Anyway, I'm expecting Miyabi to threaten her with a katana any minute now.

One of the things I really liked about the two leads is how well centered and self-confident they really are - both of them were willing to walk away from their family fortune to chase their dreams. There is some angst in the series, but I thought it was sufficiently moderate and reasonable that it didn't bother me.
The truly excellent fanservice doesn't hurt either.

Tina's boob-fondling gets left by the wayside pretty quick. They drag it out once in a while for laffs but it never becomes all that annoying. And, as you'll see later, if you get there, Tina's "stereotypical American" behaviour is a front. I won't say more, because it qualifies as a spoiler, I think.
