I went out today to visit Java Nation to try to buy some better coffee, so I could try the brewing again. Turns out that Java Nation isn't really in the business of selling ground coffee; they were willing to do it, but they didn't have anything I wanted. So it was time for the first fallback plan, and I visited Starbucks.
And it turned out they had exactly what I wanted: mild-roasted Brazilian, which is my favorite coffee in the whole world. I just now finished a brewing cycle and warmed up a cup of it, and it tastes just a whole lot better than the other stuff did.
The only bad side is that the stuff costs a fortune. It's been a while since I paid much attention to that kind of thing, but I didn't remember a pound of coffee costing $13. More like half that, really.
I think that's going to come to about $0.50 per cup, which is completely acceptable.
My only problem is that it's after 6PM, and I really want to finish this cup, and if I do I'll be up until 4AM.
