ACORN

I don't ordinarily post about topical items, but this one is just too amazing to pass up. Legendary, and notorious, left wing organization ACORN got trapped by an "investigative reporter".

In July, a man and a woman went to an ACORN office in Baltimore and pretended to be a pimp and a hooker who wanted to buy a house there to set up a brothel, which would be staffed by 13 (count 'em) 14-year-old girls from El Salvador. Two staff members at ACORN were very helpful to the supposed pimp and hooker, talking about how to hide their income, how to report themselves on tax forms to avoid problems, and even how to qualify for tax breaks.

A month and a half later it's hit the news -- and the fan.

ACORN is really a sleazy operation, being seriously implicated in voter fraud for last year's election, just as an example.

What scares me most about all this is that Obama wants to let ACORN help with the census next year.

But nearly as scary is the fact that the MSM gate keepers are trying to kill this story. I just looked at the WaPo web site. It's got lots of coverage of Rep Joe Wilson calling Obama a liar, but the word "ACORN" doesn't appear even once.

Using the site search, the only negative ACORN stories (and there ain't many) are AP feeds, and there's only one about this particular story. The WaPo doesn't seem to think this is worth covering. I haven't looked, but I'm sure the NYTimes is exactly the same.
