Unidentified trope

I'm sure it must be a trope because I can think of three examples of it right off.

The description: the male lead has a very attractive girl who stays with him nearly all the time, including sleeping with or near him, but everyone accepts it because the girl isn't really a girl, and isn't even human. She just takes the form of a girl most of the time.

Example one: Eco from Seikoku no Dragonar. (She's actually a dragon.)

Example two: the white-haired loli in the currently-running Blade Dance series. (She's actually a sword.)

Example three: Falce in Magician's Academy. (She's actually a magical staff.)

I'm sure there are other examples, too. I don't think "Magical Girlfriend" is what I'm looking for because it isn't specific enough.

UPDATE: I think Liz and Patty in Soul Eater don't qualify. They aren't guns who transform into girls, they're girls who can transform into guns. Not the same.

UPDATE: Example four: the sword in Sacred Blacksmith. The difference this time is that she isn't hanging around with a guy; it's another girl instead.

1 Does this include non-transforming things?  Robots (Chii of Chobits, Steel Angel Kurumi), undead (Hazuki of Moon Phase), or aliens (everyone from Tenchi Muyo, or Eris from Asobi ni Iku Yo... everyone calls Kio a perv, but nobody calls social services...)?

If not, another transformer example: Kuugen from Wagaya no Oinari-sama.  Kitsune with (usually) bishoujo and (sometimes) bishounen forms.

And if it's a trope, it needs at least one reverse example: Valkyrie, since her bishoujo form is her alternate form, and she's usually a kid.  (Maybe this makes Eris/Kio the "lampshade hanging" version.)

Otherwise... you're looking for a trope that's a combo of Magical Girlfriend and What Measure Is a Non-Human, but the latter relative to morals about sex rather than violence... can't say I know a specific trope that combines them.  You may have just invented it.

All the ones I cited are inanimate objects. (Except Eco.) Transforms from human to human/animal hybrid isn't the same.

I probably ought to remove Eco from the list; she doesn't actually fit all the others.

3 Then you've got a whole show based on your trope!

Unfortunately, it's Akikan.

(My wiki walk around tvtropes didn't find much.  It did get me to put off laundry duty until tomorrow, though, so not a complete loss.)

I just threw up in my mouth.
