The anime seems to be following the manga closely at this point, through the "Level Upper" story arc.

They say that Mikoto is level 5 and Kuroko is only level 4. Of course, "only" level 4 is still pretty damned good. And I wonder if it's really all that accurate. Using her power, in this episode Kuroko brings down a steel-reinforced concrete building in just a few seconds. She was cutting steel I-beams in half without even straining. I really wonder if Mikoto could do the same.

Kuroko's power is genuinely terrifying. If she wanted to I think she could ruin a pretty good sized city in an afternoon.

As to this episode, it's mainly about presaging things to come. I have a tremendous feeling of foreboding, especially since I've read the whole section of the manga that covers this story arc and know what's coming. It ain't gonna be pretty.
