Who is this? She takes over the academy I don't recall anyone ever addressing her by name.

Maybe Sid's sister?

1 Maybe her?  (Normally she wears half-rim glasses, but not in this particular strip.)

2 She's a character in Soul Eater NOT. I don't think they probably borrowed her from an American web strip.

4 OK, in ep 11, 19:01, Dr. Stein refers to her as "Nygus-sensei".

5 Ahh, that did the trick. This links to a Soul Eater wikia page.

I'm learning more and more about this series. Maybe I should actually watch it through.

I think I'm going to repost this with spoiler tags.

So Nygus is Sid's weapon. That's interesting.

It becomes clear that the Weapons are the cool kids. In principle, anyone can become a Meister, but Weapons are magic and you have to be born a weapon.

7 That seems to make the two sisters (Elizabeth and Patti) pretty special.

I was digging around a bit and it seems

The more I look into the world the author created, the more interesting it seems.

Remember though... that same author put Excalibur in this world.  There's no way he can be forgiven for that.
