It became apparent quite a while ago that this series concept didn't really have enough substance to fill a complete cour. It would have made an outstanding 4-episode OVA, but at this length they're having to add things which dilute or pollute the original concept, warping it almost beyond recognition.

And with this episode they have finally proved that they've run out of good ideas. Spoilers below the fold.

Souji has turned into a girl.

With boobs. (Someone is going to have to teach Souji how to wear a bra, I think. Someone is going to have to take Souji shopping for underwear, I think. And what about "that time of the month"?)

The hallmark of this series has been raging silliness, and that was good. But this isn't silly, it's just stupid. It's been done before, lots of times. There isn't anything creative about it; it's right out TVTropes.

It feels like the writers were saying, "My god, we've got three more episodes to fill; what can we do?"

UPDATE: I predict that Aika will get violent about it. (Yawn; she gets violent in every episode. There's always something setting her off.) The trigger this time will not only be the transformation, but the fact that Souji's boobs are bigger than hers.
