So it's AnimeExpo starting today, running through Sunday, and traditionally this con has been the place where most of the R1 release companies have made major licensing announcements.

And we're getting a few.

RightStuf (i.e. Nozomi) announced four titles today: The remaining two Aria titles and two yaoi titles. Or shounen-ai, depending on how picky you are about classification.

Funimation announced World Destruction.

Ledford announced one license: Hokuto no Ken Raoh Gaiden: Ten no Haoh, part of the "Fist of the North Star" franchise. Ledford's left hand (Sentai Filmworks, the formal licensee) then contracted with Ledford's right hand (ADV) to do the release. (Ledford and ADV aren't actually at the con, but they're making announcements contemporaneously.)

I'm sure we'll get more announcements before AnimeExpo is over. None of the above titles interests me (not even the Aria titles) but it's encouraging that we're getting so many on the first day. Holds out promise that we'll get a lot more.
