Loner?

In Hyperdimension Neptune, there's a word they keep using to describe Noire that sounds to me like bochi. The subs translate it as "loner" and from context the implication is "someone who has no friends".

It isn't bochi, which means 墓地 "graveyard" (or 点 "dot"). And bouchi, bocchi, and boucchi aren't words, so I'm stumped. What word is it?

1 It's probably "hitoribocchi".

In the OVA, at 20:25, Noire says to alt-Noire "Ne, anata de, Bocchi na no?"

I think what we got here is a slang contraction, like "shouganai" for "shikatta ga nai" or "Domo" for "Domo arigato".

"Bocchi" in this case probably is short for "hitoribocchi".

3 Another example I realized recently: "anohito" (that person) is pronounced anoshto. It's one of the few instances of irregular pronunciation in a language which is usually preposterously regular.

4 I'm in Boston but I'll look it up when I get back. The bocci nay be a legit suffx like tachi.

5 Don't think it's a suffix. Written ç‹¬ã‚Šæ³•å¸«  (variants 一人ぼっち and 独りぼっち), which supports the etymology that it comes from some phrase about being lonely as a monk (compare poor as a churchmouse).
Also seems to show up in -pocci variant; looks like another variant pronunciation.
No good idea yet about whether there's a regular process from houshi to hotti, though the ho/bo/po is regular enough.

6 I meant to look at that OVA but cannot find it for easy streaming anywhere and I'm not up to torrenting it on a Starbucks wireless (coincidentially right next to the Ebola hospital where I'm stuck for 2 days due to a series of bad decisions).

It's included in this torrent, and this one.

It's listed as "episode 13 OVA".
