Houkago no Pleiades, Punchline -- ep 4

I think we're about to get a series of "girl of the week" character building episodes now, and this week was Hikaru, the blonde. Her mother is head of an observatory and her father is a music composer. And this week it was about a piece of music that her father was composing when she was younger, and home with the flu. He was having trouble at one point and was standing out on the deck, and she went into his piano room and saw the music up to the point where he seemed to be stuck, and somehow she realized what the next note should be, and penciled it in.

Later she was stricken by fear and guilt, and since then she hasn't been able to listen to any of his pieces all the way to the end. Well, in this episode she did.

It was sweet.

As to Punchline, I'm no longer sure what kind of show this is. It's still crazy but it isn't trying to be funny any more. It's getting more and more serious, and I'm not sure I like it that way. This episode was very complicated and I can't really describe what happened very well because I didn't understand most of it. They're still rolling out back story, for one thing, and there's a lot more coming.

I think there's a reason why the girls are all fighting each other out in the pond and tearing each others' clothes off. I think there is, but I sure can't tell you what it is.

1 I just started Houkago no Pleiades.  Seems to be simple, sweet, as you said, and very pretty.  Silly, or at least not too serious, without being a gag show as well.  Hopefully the series will continue to have just enough plot to keep interest going.
