Strike the Blood OVA part 1

My copy doesn't arrive until tomorrow morning but a rip showed up on the torrents, so of course I downloaded it. Spoilers below the fold.

UPDATE: Someone rushed through a sub, and now that I understand the dialogue, I can say that it's even more stupid than I originally thought.

It was a raw so I didn't understand most of the dialogue. (I'm a bit surprised about just how much of it I did pick up. It's scary. I'm actually learning things at my age?)

Anyway, it sucked. The story, I mean. We get to meet LaFolia's father and mother. Kanon has been officially recognized as a member of the royal family even though she isn't in the line of succession. (She's illegitimate, but she's half-sister to LaFolia's mother.)

Kojou gets taken over by the villain, who takes control of his mind just by licking his chest. I would have thought the Fourth Progenitor would have better defenses than that.

The bath scene isn't all that long, mainly because Kojou crashes it (naked). This is after he's been controlled.

The OP shows him fighting Yukina and I assume that's in the second-and-last episode, coming out next month.

LaFolia's father is a clown. LaFolia's mother is creepy as hell. (And her voice sounds like Falce in Macademi Wasshoi, but I can't confirm whether it's the same seiyuu.) LaFolia seems to want to marry Kojou.

Since this is something of a series curtain call (all the major characters except Natsuki have shown up already) and Nagisa is there. My guess is that Avrora is going to take control of Nagisa again (which happened at least four times in the regular series) and do something (probably kiss him, like the last time) that frees Kojou from enemy control. Next episode.

The Villain may be working for (or with) Vatler, and it would be nice if Kojou destroys him-- but that's very unlikely. Vatler is too handy as a loose cannon, and has diplomatic immunity, and anyway I suspect this story isn't canon. (I wonder if the things that have happened to Kanon in it will be canon, though.)

Even with the nudity, thumbs down. It's just too stupid.

(One of the things that's particularly stupid: It is canon that Asagi and Nagisa don't know that Kojou is a vampire, let along the Fourth Progenitor, but it's hard for me to believe that they could get through the events of this episode without one or both of them figuring it out. MAYBE Nagisa won't figure it out, because she's a bit of a ditz and because Avrora may be able to control her thoughts a bit to prevent it. But Asagi is a genius and isn't being controlled by anyone so far as we know.)
