It's a character-building episode, pretty much, concentrating on how the respective heroes are doing in their respective countries. Becky and Kuuberu have returned to Pastillage, and Becky gets shown the country's magical research institute -- which, pretty much, is the best there is on the continent.
Nanami is trying to bond with Gaul, but it turns out he's shy around girls. (really?) Apparently that's the case. His sister, obviously, is family, and he feels like the Genoise are family as well. But he's intimidated by Nanami, and finally gets across to her that he wants to maintain a discreet physical distance between them.
But the core of the episode was Shinku, who goes with Yuki, Eclair, and Noir out into the woods for some concentrated training. Noir, for me, was always the character I wished we'd get more of, and this episode is really more about her than anyone else.
She likes to needle Eclair, for one thing, and she's really good at it. On the other hand, we got "small tits" jokes this time. Noir turns out to hate losing, at anything, which is why her training duel with Eclair went rather too far and left them both bruised and worn out.
And when the girls were changing into swim suits, Noir was staring (jiiiii) at Yuki and said, "I'm not going to lose to you!" She said the same thing to Eclair.
So we saw Noir and Eclair without clothes, but not Yuki. On the other hand, we saw Yuki in a bikini. I'll post some pictures later once I get a download.
In terms of plot developments, there really weren't any, except that Noir, Eclair, and Shinku all have developed a new battlefield technique using magic.
Well, and also: Noir has been tasked with creating an anti-monster ninja combat unit for Galette similar to the one Brioche and Yuki run for Biscotti, and Yuki and Brioche are helping teach her what she needs to know. That's why she was there.
A fun episode but mostly inconsequential. And there's no hint at all about what kind of series-level story might be getting told here.
